Lee’s Sandwiches donates 1 million for relief operations

President Wang accepting the NTD 1 million donation from Hoyii Life Co., Ltd. CEO Jeff Chin-Chieh Lin handing over the check for NTD 1 million this afternoon

On the afternoon of 20 August, CEO Jeff Chin-Chieh Lin of Hoyii Life Co., Ltd. made a donation of NTD 1 million on behalf of Lee’s Sandwiches US headquarters for Typhoon Soudelor relief. Taiwan Red Cross President Ching-feng Wang accepted the donation and thanked Lee’s Sandwiches for their compassion towards those affected by the typhoon and for their support for relief operations conducted by the Red Cross.

Lee’s Sandwiches was founded in 1983 as a food truck in California. 18 years later, they opened their first store in San Jose. In less than 15 years, Lee’s Sandwiches has already become one of America’s Top 50 Largest Foodservice Bakery Operations and also ranked in the top 10 deli/sandwich shops in Silicon Valley. Known for their delicious offerings and reasonable prices, Lee’s Sandwiches currently operates over 59 stores in 7 states and is continually expanding its stores. Lee’s Sandwiches feels optimistic about the Asian market and has officially crossed into the international market on 9 August this year, setting up their first overseas location near Taipei Main Station in Taiwan.

The Taiwan Red Cross has provided emergency relief to civilians affected by Typhoon Soudelor in Wulai District. As of today (20 August), the Red Cross has delivered the following items: 80 boxes of infant formula, 56 boxes of baby diapers, 16 boxes of adult diapers, 30 boxes of canned food, 50 boxes of instant noodles, 100 boxes of ready to eat rice, 20 boxes of sanitary napkins, and 20 boxes of noodles.
